Allows you to monitor and record high quality audio using your PC sound card, audio recorder, supervisory monitor amplifier, etc. The LIC-1PC is used to provide a simple and inexpensive method of connecting supervisory monitoring equipment to telephone lines, two-way radio circuits, etc. It provides a balanced line-input, transformer isolation, capacitive coupling, RF bypass, and balanced line-output. The adjustable audio output can be set to a weak level for use with microphone (MIC) input circuits, or it can be turned up for use with auxiliary (AUX) level input circuits. INSTALLATION Connect the output cable (terminated with a 3.5mm mini-plug) to the audio input jack on your supervisory equipment: audio recorder, monitor amplifier, computer sound card, etc. The LIC-1PC has a small screwdriver adjustment for the audio output level. If your monitoring equipment requires a stronger signal, turn the small control clockwise with a flat blade screwdriver. If you require weaker audio, turn the control down (counter-clockwise). IMPORTANT NOTES If you use the LIC-1PC for voice activated recording, there could be excessive noise on a phone line between conversations that could trigger your voice activation circuit between calls. An Omnicron LIC-390 coupler is available with a voltage sensing audio mute circuit which prevents your recorder's voice activation circuit from being triggered by noise on the phone line between calls. Federal law 90-351 title 18, section 2511, sub section 2D, requires that at least one participant in a recorded conversation be informed of the recording. Check your state and local regulations for further guidelines. The LIC-1PC is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. Damage to products resulting from physical abuse or electrical misuse voids this warranty. Out of warranty units will be repaired for a nominal handling charge plus the cost of parts and transportation. If the unit requires service, disconnect and return to the factory or place of purchase for repair.
