We are pleased to announce
the release of UpCorder Software V2.17-R1.
All units shipped
since August 22, 2007
have included V2.17-R1.
Features Introduced
with Version 2.17-R1
 | Compatibility with Microsoft Vista-32,
Win-2000, and Win-XP. If you wish to run the UpCorder software in a PC
running with Microsoft Win-98 or Win-ME, use the previous software
Version 2.17 (see below). |
Features Introduced
with Version 2.17
| Enhanced support for using up to four UC-04B or
UC-02B recorders with a single PC. If you need to record more than
four sources of conversations with UpCorder software V2.17, you can
now use two UC-04B for 8 channels, three for 12 channels, or four for
16 channels.

| Auto Refresh Option —
Auto-refresh of the list of recorded conversations
is now a configurable option. You can select
to have the list of recorded calls automatically updated, or you can
manually refresh the list as desired.
|
| Re-sorting of listings — Sort the list of
recordings by port (channel) so that all recordings in channel one will
be on top, or duration of recordings where the longest recordings will
be on top of the list.
|
| Batch delete — There
are now 3 methods to delete recordings in the
active ULogFolder. You can delete one recording at a time, a range of
recordings - for example all recordings between number 80 and number 200, and,
if you want to
empty the folder, all recordings in the folder can now be deleted in a
single batch.

| Auto reconnect — To avoid temporarily
disconnection on the USB ports.
|
| Bug fix for saving recordings as .wav files on
some PC's (corrected June 17, 2005).
|
| System Tray Icon — There is a now an icon in the
system tray when you minimize the program.

or new install procedure for UpCorder Software
V2.17-R1
(Win-2000/XP/Vista-32)
NOTE: Software
is for use in PC connected to UC-02B or UC-04B via USB connection.
Contact Omnicron Electronics
or your UpCorder reseller for "User name" and
"Password" required to
download software
V2.17-R1.
1) Download
and save
SetupUpCorderUS.zip
(◄click here, 217r1, 5,672k) to your PC desktop. Read
the new User Manual (UpCorder
V2.17 Manual
(◄click here, 3,776k pdf).
2) Right click on the file and Extract files to
217r1 folder on your desktop.
3) IMPORTANT!!
If your PC has a previously installed version of UpCorder software, before
installing, disconnect your recorder from the PC, and use the driver
removal tool in your C:\Program Files\UpCorder folder to uninstall
the driver (FTDIUNIN application, then go to your PC Control Panel, ADD
Remove Programs, and remove the UpCorder program. Close all
windows when done.
4) Go to the 217r1 folder on your desktop
(created in # 2 above), open the folder, double click on the SetupUpCorder.exe application, and
follow the instructions to install UpCorder software V2.17-R1 on your PC.
5) Reconnect your recorder, open UpCorder
software by clicking on desktop icon created in #4 above, check settings, and
test all functions.

Upgrade
or new install procedure for V2.17 (Win-98/2000/ME/XP)

1) Download & read the new User Manual (UpCorder
V2.17 Manual
◄click here, pdf 3018k).
2)
Download and save
SetupUpCorderUS.zip
(◄click here, 1221k) file to a
folder on your PC.
3) Unzip the downloaded file and to create
SetUpCorderUS.exe file.
4) Use Windows Add/Remove Programs option from your PC
Control Panel to remove the old version of UpCorder software. Select the
SetUpCorder.exe file created above to install the new V2.17 UpCorder
program.
